Meet The Captain
After growing up along the South Texas Coast, Captain Gerad Merritt developed a love for hunting and fishing. From his first catch of drum off the family pier on Cayo del Grullo at the age of four, to being pulled annually from elementary school for the first day of hunting season, he was fated to pursue a career in the wildlife industry.
After a year of college, Captain Merritt joined the United States Marine Corp, and activations kept his college career on hold for several years. After completing his Marine obligation, Merritt finished a degree in Wildlife Entrepreneurship and Recreation from Texas A&M University Kingsville, he then decided to go into the business that had his heart, and Paradise Guide Services was conceived.
